My brother-in-law has a summer house in Rehoboth, DE about a half hour from the beach.

He invited use there for a week's stay about 10 years ago.

I'm not a beach person (I'm sun burning just writing about it) so I stayed close to home when I was there.

He doesn't have a single bookcase or book in the house!!!

The house is sterile and boring. After two or three days I had read everything I brought.

    I've never been back.

Hmm - let me think through my house:

Entry hall has books on the bench and table (shouldn't be there but they are)
Living room - small bookcase, books on every endtable
    Dining room - homeschool bookcase
Kitchen - book on the kitchen counter (shouldn't be there)
Den - small bookcase along with the school books on the coffee table that should be back in the dining room
Laundry room - books to be returned to the library
    Bathrooms - no books
Bedrooms - yep, books in every room - bookcases in each one even!
bedroom hallways - bookcases on empty walls
Garage - boxes of books that I need to bring to the library
basement - homeschooling books that I need to sell

So, in my whole house, it's only the bathrooms that don't have books. :D

Yeah, yeah. The baptism rooms where you wait your turn to get dunked; the 'bride's room' before a wedding, the interrogation room where the cops try to brainwash you into a confession.... such soulless places.

Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode.
