We had a ''sharing'' service at my church last Sunday night, and during this one of the older members of the church, who is in his 70s, told us something which I thought was worth posting. The man in question helps to run a boys' youth group, and he said that when he was giving one of the 13-year-olds a lift home on the Friday, the young lad seemed concerned and told him that he felt something ''bad'' was going to happen, and that it was something to do with the old man's son. The following morning, he got a phone call to say that his son was in hospital and had contracted some kind of virus. They travelled 3 hours to see him and he was in a considerably bad state, although as it transpired, fortunately it was not as serious as first thought, and it is likely to be a short-term illness. The man in question, let's him call him ''Jim'' (not his real name), said that he was able to remain calm in the situation because he felt that God had warned him through a young boy. The boy in question had never met the ill man but was able to hear clearly from God that something had happened to him! Anyway, its an encouragement to act on messages you believe to be from God, and I had to give God the praise for this.
