Real heros don't wear capes.....They wear dog tags!
*rips off cape and walks away muttering*
Real heroes don't wear capes ..... they carry diaper bags, wipe snotty noses (and other parts), are faithful in season and out to love, and know that prayer doesn't end when adulthood begins.
I can't argue with that. My heart goes out to all mothers (and fathers too), especially those single moms who have to do double duty.
When I came back from my tour of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom, I was asked to say a few words at my church's Sunday morning service. I told everyone there that I wasn't a hero, but those parents who were sacrificing to raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord were the real true heroes.
I praise God for all of you faithful moms and dads who are raising the next generation of believers!
[double post, sorry.]
Good thoughts here.
I appreciate that. I spent over a decade in unifiorm - some have called me a hero for serving. I will only accept that honor on behalf of those who were truly heros.
Some gave all - and all gave some
Dittos to all. Finally, a thread that makes one feel good.
