Has anyone here read this book, and if so, what did you think of it?
I read it and I liked it very much. Dave Hunt did his homework.
I read it back in the 80,s. It was excelant. I would recommemnd it to anyone.
Who was the author? What does he identify the Woman as? The Beast?
The author was Dave Hunt. The woman is identified as the Roman Catholic Church. The beast is identified as the anti-christ.
Dave Hunt has another on Calvinism titled: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8rVNF-e7rI
I haven't read it; it was recommended to me. That's why I was asking opinions concerning this book.
Oh, OK, what I thought, more dispy fantastical sensational fiction.
Not fiction at all. One day, you will realize that.
The name of that book is "What Love Is This? Calvinism's Misrepresentation of God"
More likely, dispies are going to realize how much truth of God's word they missed out on by ignoring 'the time is at hand', and foolishly relegating it all to the future.
his Seduction of christianity was his best book, that one on calvinism, not so much!
IMO, every one of Dave Hunt's books are excellent.
I disagree. I think his calvinism book is superb, as well as the other.
In the past I believe you've enjoyed and/or talked of reading Peter S. Ruckman. You'd probably enjoy this book greatly (by Dave Hunt) and I believe you'd also enjoy anything by C. S. Lovett. Any of these works should be challenging to you as they are along the lines of your theological diet.
Think dave should have stayed in areas that he knows about, sich as eschatology and false teachings by faith teachers!
I agree regarding the word of faith teachers.
But In my opinion of course, I belive that Dave Hunts criticisms of calvinism are right on target, as well.
Thus, the reason I have no desire to hear what he says about other subjects.
too bad. The book has the potential to open your eyes to the truth.
