My opposition to abortion has always been that slaughtering an unborn child in the womb is murder and should not be condoned in any society, particularly one professing to be Christian!

Following is the "rest of the story:

The "baby boomers" now retiring at the rate of thousands each day sat on their thumbs while the Federal government sanctioned the slaughter of one third of the "geese" that lay the golden eggs to pay their Social Security/Medicare benefits!

But, we can just print more money and everything will be just fine.

Yeah and instead of carrying it home in a bucket or wheelbarrow they can just do an electronic transfer. Oh the beauty of modern engineering!

There is an interesting statistic that throws a wrench into the idea presented in the OP.

There is a direct relation between the drop in crime rates in our country and the rate of abortion.
A decade an change after abortion become the law of the land, the crime rate dropped.

I agree that large-scale abortion must be stopped. Who's shown the political will to do that? Certainly not the Republican party which has done virtually nothing. If they did, they'd l;ose their lock on the Christian Right vote. But I also believe that the murder of hundreds of thousands of combatants and innocents in meaningless wars like Viet Nam, Afghanistan and Iraq is also against Christian values. So is capital punishment.

We have proven you wrong on this time and again. At this point when you say this you are just being dishonest.

Just what is your point? The OP deals with the reduced number of workers to pay the Social Security of the retiring baby boomers.

Utter nonsense. As I recall it was the democrats celebrating the slaughter of the innocents at the 2012 national convention!
You are entitled to believe what you wish but if you are going to use "Christian values" as an excuse you need to provide Scripture.
Actually you are incorrect on all counts.

Just like someone else on this board he/she needs to hold on to this in order to sooth their conscience for supporting the Democrat party.
