If you want to read a good peice of Reformation Theology propoganda, check out a new book by Founders Press entitled A Quiet Revolution by Ernest Reisinger and D. Matthew Allen.

In one sense, Webster's refers to "propaganda" as
quote:
ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause

You're right Daniel. It ispropaganda. Just like most other literature, like a lot of literature you have on your shelves and I have on mine :D

In case anyone is wondering, the censored four letter word in my last post is not the one you probably think it is. I am a little amazed that the word I used was censored. Paul used far stronger language [IMG]

    Daniel,
I have a really hard time with blanket statements such as the one in your lead post. If you want any of us to understand why you think that, you will have to tell us!

I don't have the book. But when I read what seems to be a knee-jerk reaction like the one you posted, I'm strongly tempted to get it to find out!

    What's the problem with it?

Payne - If you want to take shots at Reformed Baptist Theology, please take it in the Theology Forum.

And I'm serious. In case you have any doubts, I am reformed and with the title of "Administrator" I can have your knee caps blown with just a phone call!

If you have something particular to say about the book, say it. And don't use such bad language! (I know, it just looks like you had a cuss word; I get bleeped all the time when I spell stoopid correctly)

He means that he's not really Reformed because if you were meant to have your knees blown off he wouldn't have to call...it would be preordained.

So, sorry, I made a wrong turn again. I was looking for the "Books / Publications Forum" and wound up in the Funny Farms! ;)

Daniel, I would be interested in some of your comments on what's wrong with the book. I don't have it, but have heard it mentioned before.

I found this obviously favorable review online. Also evidently parts of the book can be found here.

Obviously my attempt at a little humor was heard zooming overhead. I posted, very seriously, that to debate the ISSUES of a book was proper in the Theology Forum.

Didn't anybody remember the Godfather who was "in charge"? That is what we Administrator's do; we kiss the ring of the Webmaster and our sworn oath is to "take out" troublemakers. [IMG]

To say yea/nay pro/con about a book is apropo here. To slur something by libeling it "propaganda" sounds like something I would do. Only to the works of liberals or arminians there are unfit for human consumption at any rate. I'm doing them a favor!

If it's from Founders Press - a ministry of my friend Tom Ascol and others at www.founders.org - one can rest assured that it is factual and accurate.

The book can also be read online at

Barnabas, I told you we should have thrown that ring in the fires of the fire mountain when we had the chance, the webmaster's power grows and we are powerless against the Dark Tower. With Dr. Bob being the Captain of the Reformed Ringwraiths, no one is safe here, not even these harmless Bleeding Heart Armenians, small and helpless though they may be, as they throw aside the assurance of the Sovereignty of God. ;)
