Those of the words of the questioner. Fudge's answer disagrees with the questioner and follows the question.

That is correct. Our sinful nature comes to us as a result of Adam's fall. We are "born" members of a fallen race. We are "born" in need of a Savior - in need of salvation according to Romans 5.

When we come to Christ we are "born again" and a "new Creation" is supernaturally placed within us. The "War" of Romans 7 then rages between the sanctified nature and the sinful nature. This is our lot until glorification when the sinful nature is removed.

Until then Romans 8 says we are "By the Spirit puting to Death the deeds of the flesh" each day.

As Paul says in 1Cor 15 "I die daily".

As Christ said that we must "take up our cross daily and follow Him". Luke 9:23.

It is not OSAS - it is daily dying to self and choosing Christ. This is why we find such an emphasis on the "perserverance" of the saints in scripture associated with "IF you perservere firm until the end". It is the Luke 8:4-14 senario.

    In Christ,

    Bob

upon disobedience, Adam had two things: his own sin and the sin nature. that sin of his is passed down to each born child through imputation. his sin nature is passed seminally.

that sin caused our condemnation. more so, the sin nature causes an individual to sin, each sin deserving of condemnation. therefore, it is the product of the sin nature that has the wage of death. sin nature is not really a source of condemnation, but it's products.

upon death of a believer, he will be given a new body, one which does not have a sin nature.

meanwhile, while on earth, he has the sin nature, but with the Holy Spirit. As the sin nature gets him to sin, the Holy Spirit does otherwise to say the least.
