    How many of you will observe Advent in some way form or fashion?

    I typically use the lectionary to guide Scripture readings that are in addition to the sermon. I never preach just one message on Christmas. The birth of our savior needs more attention than that. I always incorporate a candlelight communion with Scriptures and hymns that walk through God's redemptive plan which is set in earthly motion at the manger.
