    I'm still not a big fan of hers as a Presidential candidate but the "Baghdad as Birmingham" connection is more real than the author implied. To those girls who died there and OTHERS who died fighting for their civil rights in the South, Jim Crow was truly an evil system. I had heard before that Ms. Rice has, understandably, very bitter memories of her years in Birmingham, so I believe her trip hope was wonderful and, I hope, healing for her.
