It has nothing to do with the war. These are christians who live in an islamic nation who is hostile to christianity. It isn't a new occurace for christians to be killed in these countries.

Re: All my staff at the church have been killed

What many people do NOT realize is that there IS a war going on -- but I am not referring to the one the US military is involved in in Iraq. I refer to the only war that matters -- the one between God and the Evil One. This war has been going on for almost all of the existence of humanity, and is evidenced most recently (among other things) by the battle between "Iraqi insurgents" and non-Islamic people.

While we (the US military and our allies) are "not fighting a religious war", the other side is. Islam sees anyone who is not Islamic as evil, and as someone who must be converted or killed. This is (in their eyes) a religiously required war for them to fight!

Let us continue to lift up our Christian brothers and sisters in Iraq, for them to remain faithful. May we also remain faithful! We are not on the losing side, no matter what the temporal results of the battles. God has already won!

Unfortunately, the evil one will continue to murder Christians through his minions.

bill, I came in to post something quite similar to your post, thanks.
No matter what country we live in we are at war, and satan will do whatever it takes to try and attack and damage us and christianity. We are so blessed in this country that we are not dying for our faith, other christians are though. The blame can only be placed on the enemy of christianity.

    Good post Bill...

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
