    The world was shocked when ancient statues of buddha, carved into the cliffs of Ahghanistan, were purposely destroyed by the Taliban regime.

    Our courthouse has a bas relief of Moses and the 10 Commandments carved in the limestone facade. Guess what? A group is saying that violates their non-religious freedom and should be sandblasted off.

    American Taliban. Instead of military Islam, it is militant atheism.

    As much as I share the sentiment behind your thoughts, Bob, there's a bit of a difference here.

    Those who lived under Taliban lived in constant fear of a cruel and brutal regime. We are our government.

    They had no legal recourse. We do.
