The Obama administration consistently uses the word "invest" or "investment" instead of government "spending." Even so, most Americans don't make the distinction as fully 78 percent say it means spending their tax dollars, not saving them.

In addition, 54 percent of voters think the Obama administration is proposing too much of an increase in government spending, while 6 percent say not enough. About a third -- 35 percent -- says the spending is "about right."

A majority of Democrats (61 percent) think the president's proposed spending is about right, while majorities of Republicans (85 percent) and independents (61 percent) think there is too much of an increase.

The flip side of government spending is budget cuts, and the poll finds 6 in 10 think President Obama is not cutting enough waste from government, including 84 percent of Republicans, 66 percent of independents and 38 percent of Democrats.

These are just some of the findings from a FOX News poll released Friday.

This is why I believe Conservatives need to hold course right now. The last thing we need to do is go flying off into right field with wild theories like liberals do. We should hold course, speak the truth about Obama's policies, and sooner or later we can get some better leadership in DC. However to get great leadership in DC we are going to have to vote the Republicans and Democrats out.

Obama's own polling must be telling him the same thing.

So he will continue on his spending spree while giving lip service to controlling deficits and borrowing.

    Here is an interesting read.

"Bloomberg ran a piece May 14 reporting that President Barack Obama declared deficit spending to be unsustainable while warning of interest rate increases if the government continued to borrow from other countries.

The obvious question is this: Why then, Mr. President, did you propose a budget that includes deficit spending for the next decade? Are we only to be held accountable long after you're gone from office?

Obama is quoted as saying, "We can't keep on just borrowing from China. We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children's future with more and more debt."

Lip service and more deficit spending to come.

It really doesn't matter what the voters want because they will get exactly what our owners decide we need just as it has been for the last 100 years.

So, the electorate has never had any input in the last 100 years?

    Check your facts, please.

I've been thinking about Obama's remarks about deficit spending being unsustainable while at the same time spending with such abandon...

I can't come to any other conclusion than this is simply laying the ground work for massive across the board tax increases.

They let us choose our tax collectors.

Look at the record of civil war in this world . . . it is about people being governed (taxed) by their own kind of people.

A Fox poll... Where that might boost the conservative ego and hopes we know the notfair and unbalanced news is far from bipartisan. That's like trusting a Rush Limbaugh or an ACORN poll...

Check your own facts the electorate get's to choose between whoever the elite's thinks would do them the most good. Doesn't matter if he/she be a rightie or leftie the elite can ram their policies through with either party as they have been doing for a long time.

    Billwald is correct.
