It was/is an open letter to whomsoever will read it concerning our emperor's new clothes (along with his new pen and his new phone).

You are misinformed. It was not an open letter to everyone. The first sentence is, "An Open Letter to the Leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

It was not an open letter to everyone. Some senators who signed the letter has said it would have been better if it had simply said it was an open letter.

    CTB,

Was it sent to the leadership of Iran? No. It was open to be read by everyone, much like this post is addressed to you.

What you are saying is that Cotton lied in the first sentence of his letter. Interesting observation on your part.

    The key word is "sent".

The first sentence in the letter:
"It has come to our attention while observing your nuclear negotiations with our government that you may not fully understand our constitutional system. "

Explain where the lie that you speak of appears in it.

I think that it was sent/addressed to Iran.

However, Biden is guilty of the same sort of activity.

So Biden and Obama both are guilty of meddling with foreign powers when their party lacked the White House. And Kerry shook hands with the pedophile Ortega in Nicaragua.

    It was never sent.

The Cotton Letter Was Not Sent Anywhere, Especially Not To Iran

Before U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) and 46 of his GOP colleagues are frog-marched to the gallows and hanged for treason, one vital point of confusion must be cleared up. Say what you will about the Republicans’ open letter “to the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran.” The Cotton/GOP letter regarding Tehran’s atom-bomb talks with Obama was not sent to the ayatollahs. Had Cotton & Co. actually delivered their communiqué to Iran’s mullahs — perhaps via a Swiss diplomatic pouch or something even more cloak and dagger — their critics would be on less swampy ground in calling them “traitors,” as the New York Daily News screamed.

    (...)

Despite this hyperventilation, the Cotton Club did not send its letter anywhere — particularly not Tehran.

Okay! So it is not like Teddy Kennedy who sent a letter privately to the Russians during the Reagan administration in an attempt to get Russian support for the Democrats in 1984.
