all in scripture is not always all........it is defined by the context and other definitive scriptures and a little logic thrown in.

    Cheers,

Exactly. Since every single human being is made righteous in Christ the "so as" connecting those in Adam must also mean not every single human being is conceived a sinner in Adam.

Acts 2:40 See other translations as be saved rather than save yourselves and goes along with verse 39 as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Rev. 22:17 would fall in the context of my post 150 in the dispensation of the fulness of times which I do not think comes about until the return of Christ just like ref. to Acts 15:17 in post 150. By the way see should be seek in that post about that passage.

I probably have not read 30 words of the teachings of the above.

People love to quote Revelation 22:17. You, however, don't see these people quoting Revelation 22:11. I wonder why.

"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still."

I wonder why Jesus didn't say, "he that is unjust, let him be just" or "he that is filthy, let him be holy." Curious.

Augustine and Calvin did not create scripture; they understood scripture.

Augustine was responding to the heresy of the day. It seems that same heresy is continuing through the efforts of the father of liberalism, Schleiermacher, and later Barth and Tillich. They quote convenient scriptures and fail to see the verses that deny what they teach.

Just noticed typo...the "is" should be "isn't" in the first line.

That's debatable. I think in their zeal to debunk heresy, they went too far in the other spectrum. It is not heresy to deem a sinner one who sins, not one who is conceived.

I like you believe the soul that sins it will die. However mankind which came from Adam are born flesh that is subject to corruption and in order to see or enter the kingdom of God one must not be subject to corruption.

Acts 13:36 For David,(a living soul) after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep,(died) and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
