I for one appreciate your thread and I am glad to see your desire to reach the lost.

This weekend probably won't work for me for street evangelism as I'm working shift this weekend and doing a lot of teaching on Saturday and Sunday as well. I have already planned to go and read scripture in public, and maybe open air, in Baltimore early next week when my schedule permits.

Now, my challenge to you, Evan, respond to your other threads, namely the pre-trib discussion. Thanks!

Thank you for your zeal to be out witnessing.

Pre-Trib discussion? If I dealt with people that are looking for a honest debate, but it would appear they only criticize because its me. Many of the rabbits around here like to gang up and attack me. But glad to see there are sincere readers that are looking for a sincere debate which is not common on this site.

I responded to your position in the thread fairly and thoroughly. You have avoided responding for whatever reason. The discussion has been good and I, along with others, would appreciate your response. Thanks.

I think this weekend my plans are to take care of my ailing father, shovel the driveway, help host a women's breakfast for 90 at our church, serve at the church service and minister to my family. OH - and I have to go to do a presentation of a camp night to promote the Christian girls' camp that I work at as well to some girls who may just not be saved. We're talking about being a light in a dark world.

So I'm kind of busy to make plans to stand on a street corner and yell and hand out something that I didn't write. Sorry.

I need to get back to it. Give me by the weekend. I get so much criticism and militant attacks on this board I sometimes move out of threads for this very reason.

Let's look at what evangelist6589 said in the OP:

And yet you go to "stand on a street corner and yell and hand out something that I didn't write".

    Sad...

    Sure.

May I suggest to you that some of the criticism isn't worth worrying about?

Some of it, honestly, you bring on yourself - no offense intended. You can often have an abrasive side on the forums. Relax and be willing to learn from others on here. You don't have all the right answers, and I know you do know that but you need to act like it too.

A lot of it though is flat out unreasonable, like much of it in this thread. I agree with you 100% that street evangelism, both one-on-one conversation and open air preaching, are biblical and effective as long as we have a proper understanding of effectiveness. It saddens me to see so many just react against that, seemingly from ignorance.

Ignore the unreasonable and learn from the legitimate.

Uh, no one is against it. What they are against is his false and unbiblical claim that it is the only right way to do it. This claim he has made on numerous occasions. In fact he has specifically condemned all other methods as unbiblical.

No one is a victim here.

There have been several people who have said that they are against open air preaching. Maybe they meant they are against a bad way of doing it but that certainly isn't the impression they leave.

And that falls under the legitimate criticism I mentioned.

How are we to identify the "lost" person?

    Interesting question. Does that means:

    1. You do not know how?

    2. You do not believe it is possible to determine?

    3. You do not believe he knows how?

Do you walk around asking strangers if they are lost?

Kinda yea, I ask them if they know Jesus, if they know they will spend eternity with God and a few other questions. And I do it pretty regularly.

I challenge Evangelist6589 to put away all of his books for one month and read only the Scriptures.

    Challenge for you.

Do not attend church for a month nor listen to any sermon

Have everyone put you on ignore so we do not need to read your posts nor hear what you say

What is bad open air preaching? Preaching that attacks as names people? Preachers that cuss? Preachers that throw things? Preachers that focus on homosexuality yet ignore others?

Or like a open air preacher I heard the other day whom I say is bad as he was attacking people because of their clothes.

Apparently I have touched a nerve to warrant such a reactionary response.

If I am to accept your challenge of neither attending church nor listening to any sermons for one month, I need to know what benefit it would serve. Perhaps you would explain what that would be?

As for others putting me on their ignore lists, that is up to them, not me. I have no control over their decisions to do so, nor do I care if they do.
