I've seen it several places (a message board or two, Facebook, Boortz.com, and others):

    Your thoughts?

I guess that means you and I (as well as the others who didn't vote for Obama) aren't fools.

What the statement fails to address are the millions of eligible voters who failed to vote and now are whining.

To me, this is it in a nutshell.

Obama is not the AntiChrist or the vehicle of an unpending doomsday. He is merely the personification of the society who voted him as president.

IMO, many think it is more important to vote than to be concerned wtih how they vote and its outcome. It's like voting for the prettiest or the most popular or other attributes..... without knowing anything of the character or principles or experience which help to shape a person and the decisions he will make in the future.

And, sadly...... some of the least that we know are those running in our own back yard where we have the greatest power to give a start to and elect those who will become our future leaders.

Obama breaks the rule, however, in this regard: It is like he had boosters which rocketed him into the high offices of Senator and President...... which should have been the reddest flag to every voter to stop before pulling his switch.

Sometimes it may be more noble to admit ignorance and not vote, then to vote just because one can for something or someone they know nothing about.

A revised list of policies and ideas that have infected American thinking and paved the way to a Marxist win in 2008:
    • Medicare and Medicaid
    • Social Security
    • Unemployment insurance
    • Disability
    • Workman's Compensation
    • Organized Labor
    • Civil Rights Act of 1964
    • The 19th Amendment
    • Public Education
    • Evolution
    • Secular State
    • Reproductive rights

Every two years we have a nonviolent revolution that replaces the presidency and/or congress with new personnel. That is the genius of the system. There will never be a shooting revolution. Who are we going to hang? The people we recently elected?

Right from the bottom line of the First American Revolution, like every revolution, was the distribution of assets. The US Constitution was designed to keep the owners on top and to keep the working class happy. We are happiest when arguing about politics and religion.

You are referring to elections. In theory, you are correct. In the original thinking, you are correct. Congress was meant for a man to serve 2 or 3 terms and then go home.

But this is no longer the case - the culprit - POWER ! When you get elected, a man now has power. Also the other culprit is seniority. You bring the bacon home, you get re-elected, no matter what party you are with - as normally it is the independents/non-enrolled that often are the deciding factor in an election.

So tell me all about "non-violent revolutions" and the "ballot box" all you want, but when there is a 90% re-election rate of those running, then your theories go right down the drain.

You think the people who just voted for a representative will support hanging him?

That is what my thoughts became about G. Bush. I still am not sure we will survive the damage he did.

The decline in the electorate began with and is proportional to the size of the "entitlement" state.

The more people who are dependent upon the government - the more who are willing to vote for whoever promises to hand out the most goodies.

Perhaps it will reverse when the social security-medicare pyramid schemes finally collapse and the next generation decides that they don't want to pay 120% of their income in taxes.
