    Yes of course. If no one is acting like a jerk, in your eyes, then your point is moot.

    I am sorry for your misunderstanding. My point was not about who's word trumps who. It was about having been here long enough to have been par to or at least seen the post you,who were not here, want proof for. We all ready know about them whether you do or not. Therefore if you want o play proof police then do the search yourself.

    No, not really. You said that conduct or behavior on a forum "has no real short term or eternal value.". I don't agree with that. You conduct, no matter where you are, is a reflection on your life and how you present yourself to the world. It is also a reflection on Christ, if you are a Christian.

    Anyway, it's all off topic and I don't want to get the thread closed because of that.

    So, back on topic. To all someone a racist for opposing Obama is just plain stupid. It's a cop out and just an attempt to paint someone in a bad light because they oppose Obama. I personally haven't seen anyone do that, but we've been throught that already :).

    Matt;

    I thought FCBC was a conservative Independent Baptist church? [IMG]I have been here sense '07 and yes I have seen posts that implicate many of us as racists when disagreeing with Obama's policies. This was a very heated forum during the campaign.

    No I didn't say that. Such is your confusion.

    Anyone who voted or agrees with Obama just because he's black is a racist.

    Anyone who voted against or denies Obama's decisions just because he's black is a racist.

    Most of us fall into neither category, but both are just as wrong and just as racist.

    Ironically, I have seen the example you bring up a number of times (people supporting Obama being called racist), but I have yet to witness anyone who doesn't support Obama being called a racist because if it. I am sure it happens, I have just never seen it.

    Mel, what does FCBC being a conservative Independent Baptist church have to do with my asking for examples of people being called racists?

    I'm not denying that it has happened, I'm just stating that I haven't seen it myself so I asked for an example of it.

    Since you all say it happened, I'll take your words at it.

    As I said, if it happened it is wrong. You don't need to be a racist to disagree with Obama. As a Christian and a conservative I find enough wrong with his policies that I could spend my life disagreeing with him based solely on those items. And you certainly aren't a racist just because you disagree with his policies or I'd be a racist every day of the week.

    Totally agree. My next door neighbor (who is black) is a racist because he voted for Obama. When I asked him why he was voting for Obama he told me because Obama was black. That makes him a racist.

    I honestly believe that similarities can be drawn here. I personally didn't like Bush, nor do I like Obama. I do recall people who were Bush Bashing, we were constantly regarded as unpatriotic or as being pro-terrorist. The only difference between me & most of your average Bush Bashers is that the others didn't like him beacause they thought he was too conservative. I simply didn't like him because he wasn't conservative enough.

    I have heard of cases of where people who didn't support Obama, have been accussed of being a racist. I have also personally been accused of being a racist because of my conservative beliefs & views.

    I simply discriminate against a political figure if he / she is not a conservative. I put their stances on the issues (or lack there of) under the microscope. When I select a candidate, I choose someone who comes as close to my views as possible. If that person happens to be a Republican, Democrat, or third party, it doesn't matter to me. Of course lately, the best presidential candidates have been third party (Buchanan, Peroutka, Keyes, & maybe Baldwin). The only problem is the Democratic Party doesn't have very many conservative people.
