I know there are a lot of testimonies from Baptist ministers who have reconciled with the Catholic Church. Their love of God's word in scripture has left them no choice but to risk much (i.e. job, family and friends) in their christian journey.

Here is another testimony of a former Baptist youth minister that was recomended to me so I thought I would share. As the author also has a backround in philosophy his journey home has some different insights than most.

I'm not a huge fan of "conversion books" (in either direction), but Mr. Hudson's might be interesting. I always enjoy his writing in Crisis magazine.

Oddly enough, statistically, many Baptist preachers who make a switch, become Anglicans. Not quite the whole step to the Roman Catholic Church. I know of a few who have made the switch, but not always clear on their reasons. In one case it had to do with the form of worship service more than the church itself. They go to the "low" church. Infant baptism remains a difficult doctrine for them, but the Anglican Church does allow for immersion of adults.

    Cheers,

    Jim

A retired Baptist minister, whose wife remains Anglican, and we both attend an Anglican Church most Sundays.

    Jim,

Just wanted to add that we immerse adults here at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Starkville, MS! [IMG]
