If they are christians, whom God has forgiven, then they qualify. You can not scripturally hold a persons past against them. Wehter or not you chose to be confident in the work of God in a persons life is another topic all together.

If I were looking for someone to provide the strongest, most articulate arguments against Calvinism, it wouldn't be Dave Hunt.

If I were not a Calvinist, I would want our own BB member Allan on my side.

OK, let me get this straight --- you were a "natural man." Then the Spirit was "in residence." Then you were saved? Then, still knowing NOTHING of the gospel, you heard, believed, and repented?

Well then, reconsider. Consider yourself a "martyr for the word of Calvin." Cause Christ wouldn't recognize -- not even in Mt 25:12 -- your "musings" on salvation.

I will consider myself a verbal martyr for the word of God...

The Baptist Board, of course, does not intend to make martyrs, of any kind, of anyone.

    Dial it back, please.

I know. I never intended this thread to go in that direction. My question was intended to get us discussing what legitimizes truth. Can we dismiss the claims of Calvin and not even examine them simiply because, according to Hunt, he did some horrific things?

That is hilarious that he tried to use his own quote and say it was yours. That's very typical of him though.
