I wouldn't be too hasty about leaving a negative feedback until you received it and looked at the cancel mark to see when they actually mailed it to you.

If they waited a week or two before putting it in the mail, then I would mention that in the feedback. If they mailed it promptly, but the postal system caused the delay, then that's out of their hands.

I have ordered stuff that took that long, sometimes they mailed early, sometimes not. Sometimes people mail a certain day of the week, and you just missed it, that means it will be another week before they mail again, then theres the post office. I once mailed a package, just before christmas, she did not purchase priority mail, and it was late Jan. before she got it.

Because we are thinking of moving we are considering selling some of our excess on ebay. We have never done anything like this before and we are amazed at what is on offer. We are thinking of selling china, books, magazines and knitting/crochet patterns for a start. I don't really know what the demand is for these so I guess will have to give it a go to find out.

We have sold one item on ebay so far and have another one on the go!

I was wondering if anyone has sold anything other than books on Amazon?

Not yet. I'm trying my hand at books right now and thought after I get a feel for that, I'd branch out. I moved most of my books off eBay and onto Amazon during the boycott.

Have you checked out any of the other sites? I was double checking some vintage glassware before I finished up some listings yesterday and was surprised to see some on etsy - which I thought was just handcrafted things, but there was glassware there (as well as other sites).

I am not sure if I should try selling some china on ebay. What if it gets broken in transit? Maybe I should list it as collect only....

I am new to this and learning all the time.

Craigs list might be a better alternative if you want to sell locally...

Do they have Craig's list in England?

Following-Him, I've sold China and it's been ok.

Wrap it in bubble wrap, box it, wrap it in bubble wrap again, cushion it with peanuts. Then put it in the mailing box.

I have not heard of Craig's List.

I only know of ebay and amazon.

Maybe I should give it a go on some small items. I have some pieces which are still in their original boxes.

    Thanks for the advise.

    Blessings

Selling some old DVDs and CDs that are still in good condition... it's my first time. My first auction actually ends in 20 minutes. Wish me luck.

    I'm a seller under "backrhodes."

Rob has spent the morning taking photos of things(stuff) I want to sell. Our daughter says I should wait until this evening to post it all on Ebay.

I am trying to be very good -

    I will declutter

I've got a little to learn about the ins and outs... but needless to say, I sold two DVDs for $13.49. Not bad, as I have about 100 others that I'm trying to get rid of. If I can sell them at $2 a piece, that's $200 toward debt retirement. We're also looking for other books, CDs, and stuff around the house that we can get rid of.
