Any "high brows" on the BB?

I know what you mean about it ruining you. I have a BA and a Masters in Music and God put us in a little country church where they still sing shaped notes (ONLY)and no one reads music. Hubby is pastor and our "songleader" doesnt read music. Its very hard for me, but God is teaching me many things.
As for opera, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sang with the Mobile opera for a few years before we moved to seminary and fell in love with it. Even had a small solo role in Suor Angelica. My favorite of all time is CArmen. I have had roles in Cosi Fan Tutte, The True Story of Cinderella, and smaller musicals as well. Now with 2 small kiddos and living out in the boonies, I dont get much opera. But I do sooo love it.
Oh, and I dont consider myself high brow. I am just plain old TaterTot!
