If so, what do you do? [IMG]
I love working with oils, but gave up for a number of reasons a while back. I missed it and wanted to do something for a friend so started again recently, and realized how much I really do miss it.
I wanted to brush up a bit and remembered a picture of a pear tree I had pointed out to the BB in a discussion not long ago. I loved how it looked, so took that idea and made my own. It's almost done. There's grass with wildflowers, a fence, and three pear trees against an early morning sky. I'm also gonna do a tinted glaze on it. I was looking at it earlier today wanted to do some kind of play with the lighting of it and got lucky...the sun shone in through the window onto the painting in just the right way to create the effect I wanted, and stayed there almost exactly until I was done shading it. :D It was one of those things that really make your day seem wonderful! You either take advantage of the moment or cut off your ear. [IMG]
I don't think I could ever do watercolors. I love that oils are so easily changed and worked with, so many different effects can be made.
    Your turn. [IMG]

I am shortly to start lessons with the man who has the above website, if you homeschool, there is a page on there for use by learners.
I do lots of crafty stuff but have never really painted, so here goes...........starting lessons 19th April.

There are some lovely paintings of the area where I live on the site as well.
