==Personally I have never heard of it. However I was impressed with their academic disclaimer:

After a quick over-view I think it is probably a good school for what it does (ie...prepare men/women to have ministry in the local Baptist Church). However I must stress that there are plenty of good seminaries out there that are full accredited a do a great job of preparing men/women for their appointed ministry. The accreditation allows them to use the degree in a larger context (in the church, outside the church, etc). It all depends on what one is looking for. However, again, I am impressed with this school's "disclaimer".

</font>[/QUOTE]I know somewhat about them from many, many years ago. They were founded by a Dr. Ray in Atlanta, GA. However, they split their residential and distance education programs sometime in the 1970's when they moved to Peachtree, GA. I don't know if the distance education program even exists any longer. They seem to have a small residential program in Peachtree, GA.

I can't seem to find their web site. Could you give me their URL? Are you sure that you did not get on the Emmanual web site from New England where Michael Bates is the pastor and Thomas Strouse is the dean? Immanuel in GA is a different school.

Mike, I googled up your terms and got a ton of results (including your initial question on the second page). Could you look through your results and post the address you followed?

The church I found is a SBC church.

I don't know if y'all have heard of him, but Dr. Sam Cathey (noted SBC evangelist) graduated from there. I think he earned his doctorate there.

The website is very sparse on information.

I am surprised at their tuition cost. It was about double what I expected. At one time they were very inexpensive.

Music? I thought we were talking about a seminary! As far as I know they do not have a church or chapel there, do they?

I did not see a tuition figure on their web site. Did I miss it?

Yeah, their web site is a little hard to navigate with misdirected or broken links. Some are under construction. You have play around with a few things and get back the home page. Their tuition is $120 per semester hour. This is a little high for their type of school, IMHO.
