Anyone Here Raise Chickens

    Ive had a few now dying on me......symptoms are stomach bloated with diarrhea.

    Does anyone know what it is & can I treat it?

    All I can say is google it, lot's of info out there.

    Do you give them antibiotics in their food?

    We've had poultry twice in the past and it seems there was ALWAYS something messing with the barnyard harmony, mostly predators or dogs.

    Looks like the wife and daughter are gonna get their way and bring the chickens back, for which I've no enthusiasm for right now. The problem is if I'm gonna have chickens I want to free range them but my garden(s) have priority and free range chickens and gardens don't jibe, at all.

    I'm going to give them oatmeal for the next few and see what happens. my problem with free range is also my garden....particularly the broccoli and kale. They just love it. The dogs and I love the fresh eggs though:Smile
