The Holy Bible 1611 Edition, Hendrickson Publishers.

I have enjoyed my KJV 1611! It came in promptly with no problems.

As I understand it, the book has the format and text of the first edition of the KJV with the exception of the type face which is roman rather than gothic. The notes, chapter headings and spellings are original. The "Epistle Dedicatorie" and "The Translators To the Reader" are included. Of course the Apocrypha is present in the section between the Old and New Testaments. There is also the calendar and other features from the first edition. An interesting "Biographical Introduction" section (by Alfred W. Pollard) was added to document the history of the KJV.

I found that the spelling is quite phonetic and easy to get used to. When I first come to a new spelling I have to "sound it out." It turns out that the process is almost automatic as the words are presented in context.

One of the reasons I wanted this edition is the notes. For the most part the notes are either a literal reading or an alternate reading to clarify the sense of the passage. Notes on various manuscript readings are almost completely absent. I can find those elsewhere though.

The paper, binding and printing all seem to be good quality. I feel like I got my money's worth.
