i know that liberals get under my skin but the main threat today and up coming persecution will be directly from liberal thinking and the ideologs and agenda driven liberal will make every new law and every way to make Christianity a threat to them. hate crime laws will make being openly for Gods word a crime. liberal religionist will seek more and more to come into fundamental churches to confuse and try to add leaven by the sack full. i would love to see more Christians openly rebuke liberalism with more strong fervor with the so called moderate views that cross the line of good doctrine.

    here is a free book by david limbaugh, a subscription may need to be placed here is the site that i recieved.

    Is this indicative of fundamentalist thinking? "I am not familiar so use caution..." Duh!!! Why even trouble to offer it? That is plain silly......

    Cheers,

    Jim

    the subscription for the news letter i have never read, it is a free offer advertisement, it comes from a reliable conservative site. however i have never viewed this particular news letter for full review. it is not silly it is being careful and at the sametime gives people a chance to see for themselves if they want the news letter and free book offer.

    Well if every conservative Christian would disciple jutstone person in two years, the conservative churcbes would double every two years.

    It isn't so much the liberal chruches that are taking things down. It's the conservative churches doing nothing which is about tha same as liberal churches anyway that does not win people. What good is a perfect theology that is not proclaimed?

    Actually, what good is a perfect theology if one does not have a living faith in Christ? -- It's useless.

    What good is a perfect theology if one does not have love? -- It's worse than useless because it misrepresents the truth to others.

    Demons have an excellent theological understanding but it makes not difference to them.

    Far too much importance is put upon whether someone is "liberal" or "conservative" (whatever those labels happen to mean to the labeller) instead of whether or not someone is living for the Kingdom in the power of the Spirit.

    </font>
i am not sure, but i do not like your post. doctrine is important, you cannot divorce truth from love or if you have the worldly love and not the truth or the Jesus of the bible, you will have a false love and a false jesus. liberal and conservative is the political sphere but liberal in religion is a false hood. fundamental beliefs are imporatant and it is taught in the bible.

    I didn’t write it to be popular – I wrote it because it is true. [IMG]

    I never said it wasn’t.

    But the devils have good doctrine and they reject God. And all of us have blind spots in our doctrine, yet we can still be authentic and faithful Christians because we know God. The gospel is not some sort of Gnostic cult of knowledge where salvation and/or God’s favor is gained through an error-free comprehension of doctrine.

    That’s right, but if you don’t have love you are not walking in the truth.

    Yes, but then again, the “fundamental” truths needed to know God are much less complicated than what is often claimed here.

    I don’t understand this statement… I think you left out a word.

    Fundamental beliefs are certainly important and are taught in scripture. Yet, one does not have to be a “fundamentalist” to be a true and faithful believer.

    I agree and maybe that is why the game forum is the most popular one on this Board.

    I thought we were talking about liberal Christians and the damage they are causing the church. (Pro-Choice, believe the Bible has mythical accounts, evolution instead of creationism, etc.)

    Sorry if I misunderstood the topic. :eek:

    </font>
I have never seen a doer of the Word ever stray far. He is actively discipling others and sharing his faith.

    Some of the biggest liberals I have seen are those who proclaim the truth and live as though they don't believe a word they preach. We must be possessors not just professors. Over the years I have watched a number who claim to believe the Bible and then when it gets tough and they are up against the wall, they are out to lunch and bring in their own convenient theology of doing what is right in their own eyes.We must have the courage toi do what Goid wants not what is convenient at the time.

    James 1:22 says, "But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves." Look at what it says about someone who is not a doer of the Word; they are deluded.
    The demons know but so not do according to the Word.

    I have been called just about everything by various people. I am not here to be any camp but the one Jesus is in. That means take the side of truth. Look in the gospels and see how the fundamentalists and liberals treated Jesus. He pointed them back to what God wanted.

    Terms like "liberal" or "conservative" are terms of relevance. It depends on where you are. For example, the pastor of the church I was saved at would say that anyone who is not KJVO is liberal in their theology. Labels such as these do not have concrete definitions.

    Thank you, Terry and Dr. Bob, for your posts.

    I must be very fortunate to be in a church that does not label people. We all seem to praise, worship, and love our Lord God with all our hearts. We pray, pray, pray. We help feed the hungry of our community, spiritually and with food. There is no one waging war IN our church at this time. We try to keep the devil out.
