Extreme conservatives seem eager to blame the decline of morality in the United States on Democrats.

However, over the past 40 years the Republicans have controlled the White House for 28 years, controlled at least one or both houses of Congress for 18 of those years, and for almost all of the past 40 years, if not all of them, the majority of the U.S. Supreme Court has consisted of Republican appointed justices.

Something to think about when assigning blame.

    Not all democrats.

Just the ones that claim to be Christain with their mouths, but support candidates and positions that are contrary to scripture.

Would this thread be started if Ron Paul had the republican nomination?

"Are Republicans Responsible for America's Moral Decline?"

No, but the humanism that many (read that many people, not demo or repub to save yourselves from twisting words :) push, might be part of the problem. Morals is a spiritual issue and can come from many places like families, jobs, internet boards etc. Maybe even political party members that push such falsehood.

I'm sure we could list a number of democrates that push humanism and/or lack of morals but I'd guess the more powerful influence is the public school system.

No, won't blame that on democrates but have observed most on the boards and in teaching are liberal humanists

To be just and equal "Are Democrates Responsible for America's Moral Decline?"

    No it wouldn't.

If that were the case, Ken would then be starting as many threads as possible shedding a bad light on Obama, Clinton and democrats.

It all comes down to the way the wind is blowing that particular day. . .

The fact that the Republicans didn't nominate Congressman Paul and did nominate Senator McCain are indications of what is wrong with the Republican Party.

I recall the people of the united states not nominating Paul through the primaries. The republican party went along with the people...which is how it should be!

Let the clock tick long enough and the calendar pages get flipped enough, and Ken will be a McCain supporter.

There is one thing responsible for America's moral decline, the collective hearts of the American people.

The moral decline is indeed caused by the above and the media pushes this agenda. It is not a Republican issue; it is one of the Secular Progressive movement and their hatred of God and His Word.

No, I agree with Ken... the Republicans are responsible for everything bad that has ever happened: communism, slavery, the mortgage problems, 9-11, racism, poverty, pornogrpahy, gambling, drug addiction, alcoholism... everything that could ever go wrong with anyone at anytime can be blamed on the republicans.

Mea cupla, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa

I believe that the Republicans are even responsible for the death of the dinosaurs. Ken is what Spiro Agnew referred to as a "nattering nabob of negativism".

I have always loved that phrase...

I read this post before church this morning, and that phrase stuck in my head.... It is just fun to say!!!

Although, I think the liberals are more like another one of his phrases...

    "Ideological Eunichs"

They complain, complain, complain, but never give any solution!

"Pull out of Iraq", "Pull out of Iraq"...

OK, we pull out, now what?

    Liberals never think ahead...

"Set a date to pull out"... sure, tell Al Queda that we will be leaving on November 6.... Let's just set back and see what happens on Nov. 7!

Civil war, a strengthened Iran... and an impression that the US is weakened.... Yeah... that helps National Security....

    "Ideological Eunichs"

    High ideals, but useless!

Once again some right-wingers wish to make me the issue.

Spiro Agnew - a typical hero of the right-wing in this country. :)

Well;, Spiro Ted Agnew had to resign because of illegal acts while in office. I don't think he has a great deal of credibility.
