The truth of the Universal church is in he scriptures, and is NOT referring to it being the Church of Rome!

Interesting that LM Baptists see emselves as real NT curch, and not you, but some reformed Baptists see that you MUST hold to 1689 Confession to be a real Baptist!

The universal church is visible according to Rome.

The universal church is invisible according to Wittenburg(Luther etal who came out of Rome willingly or not) Would Luther have stayed, had he not been excommunicated?

New Testament churches are local and visible, not universal.

The universal church has not assembled nor does it carry out the great commission. How does one give glory to God in a universal church? See Ephesians 3:21. Scriptural references to Church are made to specific congregations in specific places--local and visible. A lot of churches met in homes. Some still do. Now what?

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Alexander Campbell and his followers in the United States (the Restoration movement that resulted in the Churches of Christ/Christian Churches/Disciples of Christ, which today have millions of members here) called themselves Reforming Baptists in the 1820s and 1830s before their break with traditional Baptists.

many try and get Y1 to address scripture...at this point no one even cares what he perceives....they just want it scripturally based

    Hebrews 12:1 Niv
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.

There are many people who are involved in church who don't really study scripture......perhaps Y is one of them. You have noted that he/she struggles with putting together a sentence. That's not a knock, merely an observation. But good luck with paring scripture to it. Maybe the next time your in Detroit you could meet with him.

How about a spell checker.....that sometimes comes with a grammar corrector.

Maybe the next time 'you are' in your grammar checker see if 'your' is ever a verb form. Sometimes contractions get complicated. Sometimes we all need a refresher course in 8th grade English Grammar.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
