    My brother's widow lives in Grand Rapids, as well as several cousins, and a niece and nephew. Does that count? :)

    I was born in Michigan but only lived there until age 8. I count myself as born a Yankee, but now a southerner by the grace of God.:laugh:

    Nope. Georgia girl, here!

    I've never been to Michigan, but I'd like to visit. When I was a kid, I used to listen to a radio broadcast on Saturday mornings called, "Aunt Bertha" from Grand Rapids. I loved that program!!

    : Well since the question of the thread is different from the question in the poll that would be a no I do not currently live in Michigan. But I am FROM Michigan.

    Lets put it this way. I know how to pronounce Mackinak
    I like to drink Vernors (miss it greatly)
    I love cars and the auto industry in general and made regular visits to the North American International Autoshow.
    I am a die-in-the-wool Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings, Wolverines, and yes even Lions fan.
    I know that the coney is the regional specialty of Detroit not NY.
    I know that "Up North" is where you take vacations.
    Hockey and Octopi make perfect sense to me.
    I know what Euchre is.
    And I know how to make a proper Michigan left.:cool:

    Oh and God help me to never, absolutely never own an Asian made car.

    My father is from Michigan (Detroit area), but I've lived in Ohio my whole life. I still have family "up there". My father used to drink Vernors all the time - I never knew that was a "Michigan" thing. Learn something new every day.

    Depends on the person. Most michganders I know say de-troit with a short i sound.

    I wish I lived in Grand Rapids. With all of the publishing houses there, there must be great wholesale, damaged, overstocked book deals there!
