Can In the Light prove this schizophrenic nutball ever saw the ad? No.

But we do know he saw the corruption of the political process democrats used to pass a bill the majority of Americans do not want.

He wrote about it in his blog.

So was he set off by the corruption of democrats or the so called "vitriol" of the right?

One scenario is just as likely as the other.

I believe he's just a nut and the leftist media should stop peddling their garbage until we know the truth...if we ever do.

The strident, far out language should be curbed by all politicians regardless of the political philosophies. Such language is not interpreted by sane people to go out and be violent, but to the insane it may be seen as permission to do so, or as a marching order. Such language puts all politicians at risk as well as innocent people, like the young girl. Such a tragedy for so many.

ESPN is reporting the girl who was killed was born on 9/11. THE 9/11, and was featured in a book called "Faces of Hope" with other children who were bvorn on that day.

She was the granddaughter of a current L.A. Dodgres' scout.

It's perfect. Obamacare's first martyr in the state that his administration most hates.

So Rahm Emanuel is now the standard for civil discourse?

I've been disgusted with the level of hypocrisy on both the left and the right regarding the complaints and accusations regarding inflammatory commentary. By their attacks, they personify what they claim to abhor.

From all we know about the alleged shooter, he's a nut who doesn't easily fit the agendas of either the left or right, but it seems both sides are trying to blame the other for his actions.

    It's disgusting.

All people, especially Christians, need to be civil in their public discourse and should hold themselves accountable to be as fair and accurate as possible regarding others, especially those with whom they disagree.

I have prayed and will continue to pray for the people in Arizona. I can't speak for the others but I'm trying to figure out how this could have happened.

Not sure if others were aware of this but the Republican challenger to unseat Ms. Giffords, Jesse Kelly, held fundraisers where he urged supporters to help remove Giffords from office by joining him to shoot a fully loaded M-16 rifle.

    How irresponsible is that?

Sarah Palin's ad was not nearly as bad, but IMO you should never link gun cross hairs and elected officials names.

Oh, and for the record, I'm a conservative and vote Republican almost always.

From what I understand, this is another tragic whacko targetting people who were more than likely not even involved with his percieved "slight".

All the signs were there well in advance.

"Gabby" had even subscribed to his YouTube, so they had atleast an idea that this guy was dangerous. They just weren't able to connect the dots in time to prevent it.

Interesting tidbit, "Gabby" was very pro Defend the Border... And, every one, even those on the opposite side of the aisle have been praising her moderation. (At least from the news sources I've been watching.

It would only make sense to me that the obama regime would exploit an unstable individual to get even with someone they thought was a turn-coat.

    That's Chicago, Daly, Politics...

And, it happened without ? hours of a Daly becoming chief of staff...

I won't go into all the ways this can be exploited by the left...

No, of course not. But it shows the insane level of campaign tactics that are employed. Totally inappropriate.

Suppose it comes out that the shooter had attended one of Jesse Kelly's fundraisers where he invited people to shoot an M16 to help him remove Congresswoman Giffords from office. Culpability on Mr. Kelly's part?

So you're saying that Obama knew about the shooter and sanctioned his actions?

Then stop trying to make the connection unless you can prove there is one.

Not directly, but it can help to create a vitriolic atmosphere which makes nutters more likely to act in this way; comments of a violent nature (cross-hairs, shooting metaphors, 'shock jocks', etc) tend to breed violent actions. With freedom of speech comes responsibility, particularly if you aspire to public office; there's also the old adage of not shouting 'Fire!' in a crowded theatre.
