    Umm....yeah.

Sarah Palin has nothing to do with what happened. Why bring her into it ?

I ask both of you again: are you seriously suggesting that Sarah Palin has acted responsibly in her use of violent language?

I won't talk about Sarah Palin. She had nothing to do with this.

Because you know she has been irresponsible?

Her inflammatory words and graphics are wrong, not because they may have influenced this fellow, but simply because it is wrong to be so nasty. There is nothing Christian in her hate words and graphics. Wrong is wrong!

Did the people who set up this event without a single thought about security bear more or less responsibility for this than Sarah Palin ?

I guess people hate so much it makes them delusional.

I don't 'hate'; I just question the wisdom and suitability for public office of those advancing this sort of rhetoric, Democrat or Republican. The whole debate needs to be toned down and be more about issues than people.

Why is the focus on Sarah Palin here?

What about the others - on both sides - who use similar language?

Why are they not called out by name?

I suppose there's no chance of the others running for President in 2012, that's the chief difference; otherwise I agree completely and am happy to condemn inflammatory rhetoric whoever uses it.

I don't think that she has a chance of running either.

And why would a hypothetical run for President make any difference?

Do you think that a nut job that would go out and shoot up a shopping mall is only listening to those who he or she believes has a chance of running for President in the future?

Matt, there are others positioning themselves for a run in 2012. However, they just don't make it across the pond.

Thanks for the clarification. We only tend to hear about Mrs Palin.

Just a point here. The liberal media uses this word all the time (congresswoman). There is no such thing. They are congressman and some are women.
Now to the shooting. It is very sad when anyone seeks to promote their views by violence. However I am shocked at the coverage being mostly about this congressman and little mention about the 9 year old girl who also was also murdered.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here, but I just double-checked both my Webster's Dictionary and the AP Stylebook, and Congresswoman is not only a word, but it is the word to describe a female member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

You must of not read what i said. I did not say it was not a word. I said there was no such thing as a congresswoman. Congressman is an office, not a discriptuion of the gender of the person. There is no official office of congresswoman. The liberal media who hates correctness seeks to accuse everything as gender bias so they have created the word congresswoman and while it may be in the dictionary it is not an official office. Women who are part of congress are congressman just like their male counterparts.
