Armed Man Killed in Governor's Office

    A man who was armed with a gun walked into the office of the Governor of Colorado was shot and killed by the governor's security detail. Before being shot, the man announced, "I am the emperor and I'm taking over state government!"

    Yeah, this is on the local news here in Denver. Sad, this man was probably deranged.

    This NEVER would have happened at our State Capitol. We have armed guards posted and a metal detector. He couldn't have gotten past the front door and would have been arrested on the spot.
    "Loop holes" in our national security like this have me concerned these days.

    Guys, something bugs me about this story.

    I know the guy was armed and all...

    But 2 shots to the chest and one to the head for a mentally disturbed person? Couldn't they have just shot the guy in the leg or something and disarmed him?

    Doesn't it seem like..... overkill?

    Especially seeing his condition and all?

    This is coming from someone who's got a handicapped Aunt.

    Just a thought.

    Nope. A deranged/or sane man would be given a few more seconds to inflict harm. Sorry but this was handled right as far as I can see.
