Army Prepping to move on Citizens

    Lord, please deliver us from pseudo-journalists that lack the power of discernment, much less the ability to read with comprehension.

    Judith, I'm not referring to you. The so-called journalist author of that so-called article missed a very important detail: in the introduction of the document, it specifically states that this 2014 document is an update of the previous 2005 version. And if we were to find the 2005 version, we would most likely find that was an update of a previous version; and so on, and so forth.

    When I was doing the military security thing back in the late 80's/early 90's, we were trained on riot control techniques based on similar documents.

    Why did we need that training? Because any base you go to has protestors that like to sit outside the gate and complain about what the military is doing, or what they think they're doing; and those people sometimes got upset and would escalate from peaceful protest to throwing things, or even attacking others. Would you rather have untrained individuals responding to those situations, or does it make sense to have a guideline that spells out what responders are legally and ethically required to do and/or not do?
