....A liberal interest group - Business Leaders for Sensible Priorities (BLSP) run out of the Vermont offices of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream - is pressing for passage of a U.S. House bill that would cut $47 billion in Defense Department spending and direct the money to other priorities, including education, job training and children's health programs.....

Apparently here is a set of liberals who are not afraid to admit they do not support the troops. And this certainly shows why libs do not like the war. As I have said. Lib opposition to the war is not as much about concern for loss of life as it is about socialist/communist programs spending.

And some folks actually believe a liberal Democrat will protect the country from it's enemies? :BangHead:

Dangerously stupid thinking in the world of today.

The initial post is a complete misrepresentation of the news story.

I have concern about the troops but do not support the "Commander-in-Chief" who has gotten us into an unjust war. The Republican nominee has said that we will be in Iraq for 100 years. That's what I guessed before this war began. I really have doubts about professing Christians who are more interested in war than in feeding the hungry or providing medical care for the sick. If that's what you call liberal I'm proud to be a liberal. Personally, I call it Christian.

It is not Christian to repeat something you know isn't true. I know you know that liberals like Gore, Kennedy, Kerry, Clinton(s), Dean, and others had been yelling about Sadaam for years before we even had Bush. I have doubts in professing christians who are more interested in making others look bad than helping build up the body of Christ. Professing Christians who will yell the same lie that has been debunked lo these many times.

What about Revmithcell's misrepresentation of the truth?

I read the article and good old mitch is twisting the truth into a lie again, something he is good at doing.

    I call it ignorant.

You're so excited by the opportunity to take $47 Billion away from the regular defense budget (the troops you claim to support) that you don't realize this has nothing at all to do with funding the Iraq War?
