Assurance

How to know that we are saved is the same for everyone as well as how we are saved. Too many today believe they are saved because they believe, while some try and judge their own hearts which we are warned we cannot do; Jere. 17:9 1Cor 4:4. Those things are never how we are to know if we are saved. However we can know according to scripture. We are those who confess Jesus as Lord, we who are saved keep the commandments, we are those who have love for the brothers, and we are those who can do nothing against the truth. Not any single one of these but all must be the overwhelming evidence of a persons life according to scripture if they are a true believer and these are the only way to know that they are saved.
As the Lord said MANY will say Lord, Lord, only to hear I never knew you. The gate is narrow and the path is straight.
