just happenstance that the first person to be arrested in the history of the program is a female. <G>

 

She wasn't the first female...

And the first person to commit murder in the history of the world was a man. What's your point?

 

Did she really think she was going to get away with that? Wow I guess one does not need common sense, or morals, to be an astronaut.

 

Limbaugh says we shouldn't judge her, unless we're willing to drive 1000 miles in her diaper.

 

I stand corrected.

I don't see hospital gowns and straight jackets in her future. I suspect it will be more like book signings and guest appearances on Oprah and the View.

 

Well, the charges include attempted first degree murder so she might have to write her books on the inside.

I feel so sorry for her husband and children.

 

She needs a heart transplant.

 

Maybe NASA will hire me. I am better qualified:

1. I don't get insanely jealous.
2. I don't wear diapers.

Back in elementary school, when I was an aspiring astronaut myself, I seem to remember reading that astronauts were chosen for, among other things, their mental and emotional dependability. After all, who wants to be stuck in a space capsule with somebody who's having a bad day?

This lady may very well be mentally ill, but she should not be refered to as crazy or insane. These words tend to carry negitive images of the mentally ill. Straight jackets are rarely if ever used on any consumer of mental health services except for the most violent.

I KNOW you didn't intend create a negitive image, but your statements added to the stigma attached to mental illness.
