At What Point Did you Get Saved?

    I got saved July 16, 1999, at my grandpa's bedside. That night was the first time I really GOT IT, if you know what I mean. I've been raised in a sound Independant, fundamental baptist church all my life, but didn't accept the gospel as my own untill I was 11.
    I can remember feeling so filthy with all my sins. Knowing I was bound for hell. Knowing I'd helped cause the Saviour pain, and I wanted a new life. I wanted salvation- with all my heart.
    I can remember before I even finished praying, that I felt so clean, and so new. I can't explain it. I just know that was when I got saved, and I know I've never gotton over it. I couldn't tell you why God would have loved such a sinner as me. With all my faults, the sins of my past, but praise God, my accepting Christ satisfied a holy God, and He declaired me righteous in His sight.

    Yes, I know what you mean! We can hear the Gospel a thousand times (or once) and unless the Holy Spirit is working in our heart to give us faith and repentance, the light just doesn't come on. [​IMG]

    But when it does . . !! Praise God for the good testimony. [​IMG]
