Atheists Moving Away from 'Big Bang' Theory

    One could apply that thought to anything, though I understand what you mean.

    When Mendel formulated his genetics theory of dominant and recessive traits, many conservative Christians were against it, feeling that it undermined God as creator and designer. Today, of course, it's fact. I'm not saying that astronomy origin theories will ever be fact, since we can't go back and visually see it. However, we can predict a stellar event based on observed patterns, and observe how accurate that prediction is. We've done this with rather remarkable accuracy.

    There are many Christians who are non-evolution in their beliefs who are not YEC, and favor astronomical models.
