    I read the thread. It sounded fair to me. I would have done the same thing.

    Quote from uptopic, bolding by Ed:
    //It is quite obvious that those who do not use the KJV can
    say anything against the KJV and it is not corrected.//

    The phrase relating to the Baptist Board (BB):
    "those who do not use the KJV" denotes the null set.
    That is, there is nobody who posts regularly on the BB
    who does not 'use the KJV'. If perchance one can find one
    that doesn't use the KJV, then they allow those who are 'guided
    by God to use the KJV' to use the KJV.

    Personally I used three different KJVs in my daily studies,
    meditations, and devotions to God. In addition I use the
    HCSB = Christian Standard Bible /Holman, 2003/
    For preperation for and the teaching of My Sunday School
    Class (Men 31-59). In addition I use the Geneva Bible (1587)
    for comparison with the KJV1611 Edition.

    I think I am the only one here who does not use the KJV.

    However, if there be another, let him say so now. Otherwise, to be accurate, the poster will need to say "That one person who does not use the KJV", otherwise, any statement following is a known falsehood.

    However, I never discourage anyone from using a KJV. I sometimes encourage them to compare translations, but those who say that they are used to it, and understand it fine, and see no need for another, I have no problem with. I only take offense to those who attack other versions and refuse to provide proper documentation for their accusations. That is all I have ever asked. That is what I am still waiting for.
