Neale Donald Walsch, the best-selling author of Conversations with God, says he unwittingly passed off another writer's Christmas anecdote as his own in a recent blog post.

I cannot remember the source of every thought stored in my brain and I am sure that I have recited quotes belonging to someone else. If it fits, I prolly used it. It was never my intention to not give credit to whom credit is due, but it does happen. I shouldn't like anyone to scan any of my 36,000 odd sermons over the years and try to nail me for plagiarism. They may very well succeed.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Anyone interested in reading my critique of this New Age book and others by Walsch, see these links. Walsch claims in the books to actually be getting words from God. The books attack the Bible, Christ, and Christianity:

Friendship with God (my article is titled "Friendship with a Marshmallow God")

I read this book just to have a heads up since it is being sold in many of our public schools. This guy is a bleeding heart messenger of of satan if ever there was one.

I think that if it's true that he was getting words from someone (whom he calls God), it was Satan.

I cannot tell you how many emails I got on these books - both from people following Walsch who use his books as their spiritual guidance, and from Christians who have co-workers, friends, and relatives who read the books.

There was an article a few years ago about how there are study groups all over the country using Walsch's books, just like small Bible study groups, except they read Walsch. A Christian church in DC even hosted an event for him! I called the church and tried to explain to them why they should not have him.

Yet I come across few Christians who know about him - his name might ring a bell but they usually don't know who he is. Hence, my website (not just so people will know Walsch, but other things similar)!

Having read through some of the content of these articles which you've written, I would highly recommend the reading of these articles to others! I would consider them on the level of a 'must read' as the great points which you make are not just specific to this author and his work, but offer insightful keys to recognizing 'new age' ideas which are invading our literature and our social processes and leading many people away from God and his precious Word.
