Jesus was a Palestinian? That's what one public school textbook says.

Although Jesus lived in a region known in his time as Palestine, the use of the term "Palestinian," with its modern connotations, is among the hundreds of textbook flaws cited in a recent five-year study of educational anti-Semitism detailed in the book "The Trouble with Textbooks: Distorting History and Religion."

Well, there was this story a few years back, about how forensic scientists think Jesus may really have looked.

Please elaborate. Why is it absurd? He probably looked like many men from that area of the world.

Our mental images of Jesus have been shaped by European artists, not reality or history.

Who cares what he looked like. Such thoughts have no value or relevance to anything in life. We all know Jesus was a Jew from that region. And it is not even relevant to the op.

Still doesn't explain the "absurd" comment.

No, it is on topic. You asserted Jesus wasn't Palestinian. Someone who lives in Palestine is a Palestinian, which is the point of the story on how he may have appeared. Oh well...getting you to discuss anything is like nailing Jell-O to a tree.

Apparently you did not read the article. And what he looks like is irrelevant.
