The Question is esp for our KJVO friends. Do you believe that the AV translators (Preface notwithstanding), were interpreting God's Word, or would you as a KJVO consider them as prophets? i.e. since many like to say only the AV is God's Word; "Thus saith the LORD" I look forward to your replies, for now, my bed beckons me [IMG]

I don't think that I would consider them as either prophets or interpretors. Given some of their theology, I wouldn't be too interested in their interpretation of the Bible.

I believe they were a group of men very qualified and learned in the ancient languages. They translated the available manuscript evidence into the English language.
