...it's all a matter of accounting.

U.S. says Baghdad deaths fall but isn't counting car bombs, mortar attacks

BAGHDAD, Iraq – U.S. officials, seeking a way to measure the results of a program aimed at decreasing violence in Baghdad, aren't counting scores of dead killed in car bombings and mortar attacks as victims of the country's sectarian violence.

The guy who does the counting went to George Mason.

Galatian, there are some threads on wine that you should join. They use the same illogic that you do in claiming that zero unemployment is only zero under Clinton, when they argue that wine is only wine when they want it to be.

(Barbarian observes that the Bush administration has "proven" that deaths are down in Baghdad (because they don't consider those due to car bombs or mortar attacks to be "real" deaths)

    George Masonite whines:
C'mon, George, if you don't see the twisted humor in that one, you have no sense of humor at all.

So you've decided to simply lie about what I said? Bad tactic. Everyone knows what I said, and I never said that unemployment was zero under Clinton. It's always a bad idea to lie, but it's also foolish to do it about things still on the board.

This thread is about Bush's creative accounting for deaths in Baghdad, not your creative accounting for unemployment.

"Deaths from bombs and mortar attacks don't count as real deaths. You've got to give Dubya credit for creativity.

And he didn't even go to George Mason.
