    Hi all!

Don and I are now working on a Bible Quiz page that corresponds to the reading we are doing in the Bible Reading Plan 2002 forum.

The first quiz is ready for preview (the rest of the site won't open until later):
    http://www.geocities.com/baptistbiblequiz/Genesis1.html

We will be creating one quiz for each book of the Bible. If you would like to help create the quizes just let me know. I hope to have 66 different people each create one quiz.

(Clint- I know you said something earlier- would you still like to help? I would like three people to work on the Javascript and building the page. Let me know.)

I can't open anything posted on geocities on my computer (don't know why), so I will not be collecting my throphies for the correct answers on your Bible Quizes. ;)

I had one problem. When the little window jumped up telling me how many I got... I couldn't get the X in the upper right hand corner to close it, and it was so long I couldn't find anywhere else to close it. In fact, it's still on, just minimized when I hit some other button. Don't know how to kill it. [IMG] Probably all the rest of youse guys have enough money to have BIG screens. Maybe it's a conspiracy. Hey, Adam weren't you also involved in that thing where everyone sees Clint's smilie but me. Hmm...

rl, I had somewhat the same problem, except that I couldn't see past the fifth answer. Also couldn't minimize, reboot or shut down. I completely locked up. Had to unplug from the wall. I tried it twice with the same result. It was a good quiz except fpr the problem

I forgot to add in the earlier post: question #6- I didn't know that Lot's wife was named Sarah. Also #9- I was Joseph that found favor with Pharoah, not the4 other way around. But still a good quiz.

    Brother Robert -

To close any application on your computer that is giving you a problem, simultaneously depress Control - Alt - Delete on you keyboard and highlight (by clicking it or using the arrow keys) the offending item, then click "end task" on the window (or alt + "E"). Geeks call this the "three finger salute."
I, however, am not a geek and freely admit to Brother Adam that I do not know Javascript...yet. I am going to do some searching and educate myself on this snazzy language code as I am very interested in helping him.
There was no text, by the way on the smilie posting on the virus warning thread, but each time I posted there, things became more confused. I have now learned and will not click on anything again that is not in the King's English, even Baptist Board threads.

If it locks up on you, I don't know what to tell you- BUT- if you can't see the "close" button the easiest thing to do is hit the ESC key. That will close it. Quizes are best viewed using Internet Explorer using Windows 98 or better. Remember- we are just now setting up the website so it will take a while to get the kinks out of it. Yeah, I know there are a couple of errors on the quiz too. I was more concerned about getting it to work at the time. Will fix [IMG]

If all goes well I will be registering a domain name for the site :D

Clint- thank you for your willingness to help with the site. I will email you later. You really don't need to know Javascript to help, but it does help a little.

Enjoyed the quiz, but we seem to have everyone crashing after taking it. It locked up on me too. Had to ctrl-alt-delete it as well :( .

I know it isn't easy working those kinks out. We just have to tell you when it's messing up so you know what kinks to work on next! :D

Couldn't do the 3 finger salute with ctl-alt-del, but the escape button worked fine. I'm sure there are fewer kinks in the system when there are fewer kooks using computers.

Okay- no one take the quiz until I have everything fixed (yeah like that'll happen anytime soon  :eek [IMG]. Seriously though, it's gonna be pretty snazzy when its finished. I hope to have it up in the next couple of months.

Hey, Adam, I want to come back and say that it's a  site. I think what you're doing is great! Don't want to be just a complainer, which the first post sounds like. I just wanted you to be aware of the problem. So now that you're aware of the problem - GET THE BUGS OUT!!! :D

Those that are having problems, could you please tell us what operating system and internet browser you're using? And what connection you're using, as in cable, 56k modem, etc.?

For instance, I'm using Win98SE and Internet Explorer 6.

    Thanks!

    Hi All,
    Had the same trouble, took the test...got a 100% :D :D :D
    See..I am studying! ;)
But I couldn't see whatever was written on the bottom of the score and then the whole screen froze.
Pushed the three magic buttons to fix it.
I am using Windows 98, Internet Explorer.
    Hugs,
    ~SeaFlower~

    No problems.
    Windows 98se
    Opera 6.0

If I could make a suggestion...
I looked at your source code and would suggest taking all of the java script in the head and place it just after the head closing. Then start your body statement and the rest just as you have it. The way it is works good in mozilla based programs, but IE has trouble.
Doesn't cost anything to try it, eh?
Actually, I popped it in my editor and tested it on IE and Netscape. Worked great.
    Good luck.
