    Are there any Baptist commentaries on the whole Bible that were widely received prior to 1950?

    John MacArthur is working on completing a NT set - about 3/4 of the books now done and worth every nickel.

    Lenski, a Lutheran, has one of the best sets of NT commentaries from the standpoint of Greek.

    A lot of people rave about Lenski. I haven't had much contact with it in a few years. I'm about to get the set. I look forward to having it again. Very good commentary set, as I remember.
