Instead of joining in the battle against sin by separating themselves they do as Lot and go down to the city gate and become one with their sin. we need to witness to sinners, but not participate in their sin.

Jesus told us to spread the Gospel "to the whole world". How do we do that if we entirely separate ourselves from unsaved sinners? We're supposed to separate ourselves from worldly practices. I don't think witnessing falls under this.
