Great interview here, clarifies that the Ryries separated from that First Baptist Church (NBC), joining a fundamentalist Baptist congregation:
Denny Burk of SBTS's Boyce College:
"Probably the thing I appreciate most about Dr. Ryrie was his zeal for evangelism."
A Short Remembrance of Dr. Charles Ryrie
Interesting. The author states...
I asked him once whether genuine believers have to bear fruit. Those of you familiar with that controversy will know the significance of that question. To my surprise, he answered “yes.”
I have had, on several forums, discussions on this issue. I too take the view MacArthur presents, and shocked that many will vilify Macarthur without even knowing what he teaches in regard to "Lordship Salvation."
Where do you stand on this, Jerome?
Please keep on topic.
Please explain why I am not on topic in my post.
And if you could, please quote so I am alerted to the fact you have spoken to me.
The thread is not about "lordship salvation" unless it impinges upon the opening post. This not the forum for a food fight between lordship salvation and free grace.
Just a question in connection with the article provided, and seeing it has bothered you, and there has been no response from Jerome, then I will bow out of this thread.
