Baptist View of Drinking and Smoking

Some people are allergic to alcohol and others fall asleep with half a glass of wine. They definitely should avoid alcohol because of the impact it has on their body unless the sleepers are using it to fall asleep.

Yes, alcohol lowers inhibitions to allow people to do what they want to do but are too shy to. That could be something carnal if one wants to do carnal things.

 

Just to clarify, I'm for moderate drinking. I don't think you, me or anybody alive today is the authority on the subject. You choose to not drink, I won't care. If I have a glass of wine, extend me the same courtesy.

Wine=Juice of the vine, while Not associated with an Alcoholic drink, as it is fermented it is referred to as Strong Drink and to be avoided as a beverage.

Context Joe. Pregnant mothers shouldn't drink. Your using a medical syndrome as a "blanket" statement for all alcohol use. All alcohol use is not abuse.

I think one of the stranger things about Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) is that it doesn't happen more often. It is not uncommon for alcoholic pregnant women who drink large amounts during pregnancy to give birth to kids without FAS or any other alcohol related developmental problems.

My wife didn't touch alcohol while she was pregnant and I would recomend all pregnant women to avoid it. But I wouldn't freak if they had a drink or two somewhere during their pregnancy.
