you seem to be more of Kjv preferred, and that is fine, just have REAl problems when KJVO start correcting the greek text with the english renderings of the KJV!

Yeah, but I'm never more than 20 feet from a window, or door, at my home.

Well, the think I love about the .45 is it will go thru just about anything. Even if the guy breaking into your home is wearing a kevlar vest, a few .45 rounds will tear him up pretty good.

I like both. Hitting my target with a lot of stopping power.

There is nothing unbiblical about any of the things at the bottom of his post.

If you knew anything ABOUT hermeneutics you would be smarter than to beleive KJVO.

No intelligent Christian could be KJVO.

I know I may be vilified for what I just said but its about time SOMEBODY said the truth.

    Impressive Bro.Heir

Now THAT was a truly IMPRESSIVE POST Bro. Heir.....particularly the two paragraphs I bolded above. They are a very CLEAR definition of REAL Gun Control. We can always hope the lame-brained politicians are actually reading this!

And my response to that is.................................................:type: by the way....believe (a word I am quite fond of) is correctly spelled with an "ie"...not "ei". I will however stand by my previous post. Have a nice day bro.Luke.

    Are you nitpicking typos??

Does that not make you a snotty Pharisee? Would you like to have a spelling contest?

And standing by something is only noble if it is justifiable.

Your stand is not justifiable. It is not intelligibly supportable. You cannot make a thoughtful, logical, exegetical case for it.

You just do what most IFB people I've known do... Claim something as righteous and expect that people just accept it because YOU claim it.

That is not righteous- it is self-righteous.

If something is truly right, it can be DEMONSTRATED.

You don't even bother to demonstrate it. IFB folks are often so high and mighty they don't even think they have to.

I'll stick with my Glock Model 22 .40 S&W. Wherever the red dot is, that's where the round goes. Shoot from the hip, no problem.

I like the KJV along with Strong's imbedded. That way, when I "stumble" over a word or clumsy phrase, I know that the Holy Spirit is prodding me to dig a bit deeper.
The Holy Spirit is definitely "inspired". Ruckman? He reads like an impromptu off-the-cuff transcript. The Holy Spirit guides thoughts in a clear, concise, systematic and well organized way.
I think I'll go with the PRO. Remember when you do a word search in the KJV and spell a word like fulfill, you will miss all the words spelled fulfil (one "L").
The same goes for Noah, as you will surely miss all the passages about Noe. It's pretty clear that the KJV was translated by more than one person. But it's still the best IMO.

    Just so you'll know.....

I'm not IFB....I attend an SBC church....and yes...I can make a thoughtful. PARTICULARLY logical, exegetical case for my position as a KJVO adherent and as a dispensationalist, a pre-millenialist, etc., etc.. It has been done many times in other sections of this board by myself and others even more qualified tham myself and to what end....we were vilified endlessly. I have pretty thick skin at my age so that doesn't really bother me that much (anymore) but I don't feel obligated to supply a detailed "exegesis" everytime I make a statement on one of these forums. I don't feel the need to get drawn into a pointless argument at this time. Your mind is already made up and cast in concrete (honestly...on THIS matter, SO IS MINE)....so frankly it is a waste of time. You have a nice day Bro.Luke......I gotta go finish pressure-washing my driveway while the weather is good.

    Bro.Greg:saint:

P.S. ....as for the typo thing....I "ain't" no english major OR a pharisee....I just got irritated at you so I did that. Besides...I used to write articles for a Nascar related weekly magazine and was trained in "proof-reading"....I just automatically notice stuff like that. Yeshua1's posts nearly drive me insane.

I have used the Blue Letter Bible since its inception. I attended Chuck Missler's Friday night bible study at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa for years.
Chuck always emphasized the importance of doing your own research and using computers. http://www.blueletterbible.org/
