Where did he get the authority to fire the CEO of GM? Where does he get the authority to determine company executives pay? Where does he get the authority to appoint 15+ czars? Nowhere! He simply takes it! That is dictatorship any way you look at it.

Where does the constitution state that the government has any business bailing out corporations? There is no provision for that at all. The government should not be running those companies it is true, but they also should not have given taxpayer money to them. Even if doing this gave him the right to hire and fire, did it give him the right to defraud the bondholders while giving the company to his political friends?

Obama's spending spree is going to have dire economic consequences. The government does not have an unlimited supply of money at it's disposal. At least not without triggering rampant inflation. And I am sure you can recall that the Chinese (the biggest holder of t-bills) were getting nervous a short time ago and needed our goverrnment to reassure them that the bonds were good. Probably giving them Hummer was part of the deal.

 

And Gheitner and Clinton were soundly laughed at for making such ridiculous statements.

Article 1 section 8. It's called the elastic clause and basically says congress can do what it feels necessary... Not sure why the forefathers put it there but that is the common use of the clause.

I do Sir but I am not the one who has to be convinced... That is why this clause, the elastic clause, is the most debated part of the constitution. Legal scholars along with constitutional professors don't all agree as to exactly what it means.

Here is the essence of the dispute...

As you can see, we operate under option 1 which came from Patrick Henry instead of option 2 which was the beliefs of Alexander Hamilton and James Madison. You being Federalist would naturally take to option 2 but unfortunately option 1 is the hidden secret to how we operate.

The fact is Rev, our founding fathers and architect of the constitution didn't agree on this clause. And you want me to explain the word "foregoing"??? Folks with law degree's ad our founding fathers don't agree on that word.
